The move will allow the Allianz Group to enhance its value proposition for multinational corporations in the area of global employee benefits through a holistic corporate life, pension and health insurance offering, Allianz said. The move will also strengthen distribution capabilities.
“I am delighted to welcome Allianz Global Benefits to the Allianz Partners family,” said Ida Luka-Lognoné, CEO of health at Allianz Partners. “There are many synergies between Allianz Partners and AGB in terms of broker channel, customers, proposition and market approach. Our joint and strengthened B2B2C approach will allow us to further leverage our expertise in both international private medical insurance and local employee benefits program business. Multinational corporations can expect a flexible and innovative set of employee benefits solutions including a strong health and wellbeing service proposition.”
“This is a considerable step in the evolution of our current AGB business model,” said Dirk Hellmuth, CEO of Allianz Global Benefits. “It implies increased capabilities to centrally steer the entire global employee benefits value chain and to ensure strong delivery to our existing and new clients.”
The joining of AGB and Allianz Partners is the latest move for Allianz Group. Last month, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty announced the appointment of a new financial lines head for North America. In December, AGCS launched an in-house ESG team.
