An insurance technology company is getting a new leader, after Applied Systems’ Reid French stepped down as CEO today. Newcomer to the company, Taylor Rhodes, has meanwhile come on board as Applied’s next chief executive officer.
Rhodes brings to Applied more than 20 years of technology and tech-enabled services leadership experience. Before his new role, he served as CEO of SMS Assist, a cloud-based software platform for multi-site property management, and CEO of Rackspace, a cloud computing company.
Before Rackspace, Rhodes served as a leader in enterprise, financial, and corporate strategy positions at Electronic Data Systems Corporation. He is also a former United States Marine Corps infantry officer, and holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
French will continue to advise Applied as a member of the board of directors, according to a news release.
