AXIS Insurance, the specialty insurance business segment of AXIS Capital Holdings, has announced the appointment of Kenneth Hosp as vice president of the US excess casualty team.
In his new role, Hosp will be responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with wholesale distribution partners, enhancing new and existing initiatives and opportunities with an emphasis on transportation business, and executing the underwriting strategy, AXIS said. He will be based in Alpharetta, Ga., and will report to Britt Smith, senior vice president of US excess casualty.
Prior to taking his new role, Hosp served as assistant vice president for global casualty facultative at Gen Re. He began his career at State Farm Insurance and has held underwriting roles at Markel Specialty and DUAL Commercial.
