Burns & Wilcox Brokerage has expanded its New York office with the addition of Anthony Greene, who has been appointed vice-president, broker.
In his new role, Greene will be in charge of Burns & Wilcox’s growth within the northeast region. A release said that he will help create innovative solutions and design specialized programs for retail brokers and agents. Greene will report to Burns & Wilcox president Denis Brady.
“Anthony’s extensive background within construction makes him an excellent addition to our growing team given the high volume of developments in New York and surrounding areas,” commented Brady. “His expertise and strong relationships across the northeast will help Burns & Wilcox Brokerage expand and continue to provide superior service to our retail brokers and agents.”
Greene has more than a decade of experience within the excess casualty and construction space. He is known for his strategic use of excess buffers and creative solutions for wrap-up programs in the NY market. Greene has been attached to several projects in the New York City area, including major airline expansions and skyscraper developments.
He was previously a senior risk advisor with Turner Surety and Insurance Brokerage, where he was responsible for new business development of wrap-up programs. Greene also held positions with Aon CSG as vice-president of excess casualty overseeing all excess construction placements for the Greater New York region. He also was once a part of AIG, where he managed the excess construction business.
“I have lived and worked in the northeast my entire career, deeply embedded in the Construction sector,” said Greene, who added that he looks forward to leveraging his experience as a retail placement broker and an underwriter in his new role.
