Canopius appoints head of marine treaty

Canopius Group has announced the appointment of Claire Wallace as head of marine treaty, effective immediately. Wallace will be based in London and will report to Chris Gray, head of specialty reinsurance at Canopius.

In her new role, Wallace will lead a team of global underwriters in writing marine and energy treaty reinsurance.

Wallace returns to Canopius after a stint at Atrium, where she served as marine reinsurance underwriter. She began her underwriting career at Canopius in 2008. Prior to that, she spent 18 years as a marine and energy reinsurance broker.
