Charity First, a P&C program manager supporting agents and brokers serving the non-profit and charity space, has promoted Maureen Dyson (pictured) as area executive vice-president.

Dyson will lead a variety of company operations, including program growth and direction, product offerings, marketing, and staff development, a release said. Most recently, she was an underwriting supervisor with the company. She has spent the last 16 years with Charity First, initially joining the company as an underwriter.

“I feel I’m in a good place when it comes to facilitating growth and change,” Dyson said in a statement. “I know how the organization works and how to build procedures around new products and programs. Insurance is a relationship industry and I have also spent years developing relationships with our agency clients and carriers.”

Dyson hopes to continue providing support to Charity First’s agents while expanding the company’s capacity in both the non-profit and for-profit commercial insurance sectors. In a statement, she said that she is excited at the opportunity to influence the organization “from a new perspective.”

“Charity First has a longstanding history of serving agents and brokers who work with non-profits and social service clients. I want to build on this history and position the company to grow and thrive for years to come,” she remarked.

“It’s exciting to have Maureen take over leadership of Charity First,” commented Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. area president and Charity First executive vice-president Riley Binford. “Maureen brings a wealth of underwriting, operations and marketing talent to this position and truly understands what it takes to serve the retail insurance community. Under her guidance, Charity First will continue to be the premier insurance program for non-profit organizations.”
