Chubb has announced the appointment of Matt Booker as its senior vice president for major accounts property in the United States. In his new role, Booker will be responsible for underwriting, strategy, production, product development, management, and profit-and-loss performance for Chubb’s retail commercial large-accounts property insurance business.
Booker succeeds Brian Church following Church’s appointment as the head of international property for the company’s Overseas General business. Booker will report to Derek Talbot, division chairman of Chubb’s North American Property.
“With the recent appointment of Brian as the company’s head of international property, Matt’s appointment further underscores the breadth of leadership within our organization,” Talbot said. “Matt’s experience in underwriting, coupled with his strong leadership skills, will help ensure the unit continues to provide customized solutions and services to help meet the specific needs of our multinational clients.”
Booker, a 15-year industry veteran, has been with Chubb for seven years. Prior to taking on his new role, Booker served as the company’s senior vice president and New York and Mid-Atlantic regional property underwriting manager. Booker has also held a number of positions at Munich Re, and started his career at XL Catlin.
