Abbott has more than 30 years of industry experience, including a wide variety of roles in the aviation sector. He joins Chubb from Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers, where he served as underwriting director. Abbott also had an earlier nine-year stint at CGM as a senior underwriter, responsible for the company’s aerospace book. He has also served as chairman of the Insurance Institute of London’s Aviation Subcommittee since 2008.
