CSAA Insurance Group has appointed Andrea Hecht to the role of executive vice president and chief financial officer, while promoting current chief risk officer Jeff Huebner to executive vice-president.
Hecht will lead the company’s finance division in her new role, and will be responsible for the accounting, financial planning, analysis, audit, investments, and tax functions. She most recently served as CSAA Insurance Group’s controller, administrating accounting operations. Before joining CSAA, in 2017, she was with Ernst & Young’s Assurance practice for 12 years. Hecht was also once a managing director at BKD CPAs & Advisors and is a Certified Public Accountant with a bachelor of science degree in business administration in accounting from Ohio State University.
Huebner will lead the company’s risk division in his expanded role as executive vice-president and chief risk officer. Originally overseeing enterprise risk management, capital strategy, reinsurance programs, corporate insurance, and business resilience, his new responsibilities will also see him handle real estate, procurement and security. He has been serving CSAA Insurance Group for over 18 years and is on the board of directors for AAA Life insurance, as well as the board of governors for the California Insurance Guarantee Association, and the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Northern California. Huebner has a bachelor of arts degree from Dickinson College and an MBA in finance from Notre Dame de Namur University.
Both Hecht and Huebner will report to CSAA Insurance president and CEO Tom Troy.
“Andrea and Jeff are valuable additions to our executive leadership team,” said Troy, adding that Hecht has played a key role in leading the company’s financial operations with her vast experience, and that Huebner in his expanded role will provide CSAA with greater insight into approaches to protect and grow company assets.
