Everest Re Group has appointed Srini Maddineni (pictured above) as group chief information officer, effective January 16.
Currently Everest’s SVP and global CIO for insurance and reinsurance systems, Maddineni has thirty years of experience in the financial services and insurance sectors. Prior to joining Everest, he was CIO, commercial, North America at Chubb, where he led technology for commercial insurance and oversaw a team of over 650 professionals across the globe. He also held technology, applications, and client experience roles at S&P Global, Bank of New York Mellon, and State Street Corporation.
This appointment will see Maddineni succeed Terry Walker, who is set to retire by the end of the first quarter of 2023.
As group CIO, Maddineni will be reporting to Jim Williamson, Everest group chief operating officer.
“Srini is an accomplished executive with significant experience delivering transformative technology capabilities on a global scale,” said Williamson. “He has made a meaningful impact as global CIO of reinsurance and insurance, having led all aspects of systems development across our global businesses. I look forward to collaborating with Srini and his talented team to drive our technology strategy forward.”
Everest also announced the promotion of two IT executives to deputy CIO roles who will both report to Maddineni:
