In its first US claims deals, management, consulting, and digital solutions provider Davies Group has scooped up Ohio-based claims adjusting provider Frontier Adjusters. This move will establish the independent adjusting arm of Davies’s US claims solutions business and will sit alongside the firm’s existing businesses in the US. These include its captive management business Quest, as well as its insurance audit and inspection businesses.
Frontier’s SVP Milo Bolender will keep leading the business and he’ll have support from VP Tyson Ward in addition to the rest of the management team. All Frontier employees will stay in their current jobs, working under the Davies brand.
Frontier is active across all 50 states as well as parts of Canada and specializes in P&C as well as auto insurance claims, working with insurance companies, government agencies, self-insured entities, and TPAs.
This acquisition is Davies’s fourth in 2019 alone, and follows Canadian investor AIMCo taking a minority stake in the firm, with minority shareholder HGGC, to help support Davies’ international expansion and ongoing digital transformation. Davies works in partnership with more than 500 businesses, including insurance, from its operations in the UK, Ireland, Bermuda, the US, as well as Canada.
“I am excited to welcome the whole Frontier team to Davies. Frontier’s breadth of capability, their geographic footprint, their focus on client services, and investment in technology strongly aligns with out ethos,” said Dan Saulter, group chief executive. “The addition of Frontier to our growing platforms means we can provide our insurance clients with multi-line claims solutions in the US and Canada, in addition to our established operations in the UK and Ireland.”
He added that extending the firm’s claims operation to North America is a key part of Davies’s growth strategy, and that the company has plans to develop solutions in the region with added complementary TPA and supply chain capabilities via both organic growth and additional acquisitions.
Bolender, meanwhile, commented that Frontier has “a strong network of franchisee owner-operators with deep experience” and the team looks forward to “working with those customers we have in common.” Being part of a global business is also important for Frontier, and means more opportunities for its staff, added Bolender.
