Gallagher Bassett, a global provider of risk and claims management services, has today announced the appointment of Mike Hessling (pictured) as CEO, North America, effective immediately.
Hessling has been with Gallagher Bassett, a wholly owned subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., for over seven years. In his new position, he will report directly to Gallagher Bassett Global CEO, Scott Hudson.
“Mike has been a leader with Gallagher Bassett for over seven years and has a tremendous track record as North America chief client officer, leading our sales and account management teams,” said Hudson. “He has also been a driving force behind the building of our industry-leading analytics team. Mike’s knowledge of the North America market, proven ability to work across all functions, and passion for Gallagher Bassett's culture and team, makes him the perfect person to lead our North America business.”
Hessling said he is “excited and humbled” to take on the leadership of Gallagher Bassett in North America. He will join a global executive leadership team, which heads up over 6,000 claims professionals around the world.
