Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Jasper Goring to head up its cyber reinsurance hub in New York following the creation of a dedicated cyber analytics function and the growth of its specialist team in North America.
The combined team of cyber brokers and actuaries replicates the model Gallagher Re has already developed in London and bolsters the expansion of the company’s cyber specialty in North America.
Goring joined Gallagher Re’s cyber reinsurance team in 2018. Following his relocation to New York from London, he will continue to report to Ian Newman, global head of cyber at Gallagher Re, while becoming part of the company’s North American regional operations, led by Jim Bradshaw as CEO. In his new role, Goring will lead and grow Gallagher Re’s cyber specialty to support the company’s North America-based clients.

“With growth in the cyber market seemingly relentless, and so many of the new entrants and cyber tech MGAs being based in California or here in New York, I’m excited to lead our North American investment in building a multi-disciplinary cyber function that blends the dedicated broking and analytics expertise to best support that growing client base,” Goring said.
The company has also announced the appointment of Ryan Wilkins as a cyber reinsurance actuary based in New York. Wilkins joins the company from Google, where he served as an actuary in the company’s business and risk insurance function, supporting its captive insurance company. Prior to Google, he worked as an actuary at Guy Carpenter.
“Ryan is perfectly placed to establish and expand our analytics specialism in New York, bringing a unique blend of big tech and reinsurance experience, and we are delighted he has chosen to join Gallagher Re at such a pivotal time in the development of cyber risk, exposure and insurance,” Goring said.
