Mike Mueller serves as an Area Senior Vice President for the RPS branch office in Denver, Colorado, focusing on Property & Builder’s Risk coverage for clients Nationwide.

Mike specializes in the brokerage and placement of catastrophe-driven programs including the perils of named storm, earthquake, flood, wind/hailstorm, and wildfire. In addition to Property, he is a niche specialist in the Builder’s Risk space and has worked on some of the nation’s largest and more complex wood-frame construction projects.

He currently manages a book of over $40M in premium and has extensive expertise in placing complex layered programs and creating bespoke solutions for hard to place assets on behalf of clients in the Real Estate, Hospitality, Manufacturing, and Construction sectors.  

Mike joined RPS in 2012 as an associate broker, advanced to area assistant vice president by 2016 before building his book and achieving promotion to senior vice president. Mike is a member of the RPS Bar Club, a distinction for top producers within the organization achieving book size of $1M+. He has worked in the RPS offices of San Francisco, CA and Boca Raton, FL.

Prior to joining RPS, Mike was an underwriter at Chubb, formerly ACE USA. Prior, Mike earned his degree in Risk Management & Insurance from Florida State University. While in college, Mike was selected to be a WSIA Intern and spent time learning the business in New York & Bermuda. While in high school, Mike earned his CSR license and worked for USI in Miami. Mike comes from an insurance family and is 1 of 3 siblings working in the industry.

Over his career, Mike has been active in mentoring and offering support to colleagues and team members. He has participated in various trade associations throughout his career, such as WSIA U40, YAC, IMUA, and IICF.
