Pamela Flowers serves as Area Assistant Vice President in San Diego, CA for the Workers’ Compensation Division at Atlas General Insurance Services, an RPS Company.

Pamela began her career in the Insurance industry with Atlas General 12 years ago immediately following her graduation from the University of San Diego, with honors.  She quickly moved through the ranks from Receptionist to becoming a Senior Underwriter in 2012.  As Atlas’ highest revenue producing underwriter, Pamela was promoted to Area Assistant Vice President this year.
Pamela is the Program Manager for Atlas’ exclusive Parcel Program; responsible for training, developing, and implementing procedures for writing business in California and all other states (AOS).  She monitors the program portfolio and communicates with exclusive agents to improve knowledge, growth, and productivity standards. She currently manages a book of over $25M in premium and has grown out of state premium by over $15M.

Pamela continues to bring innovative ideas to the table to assist fellow Underwriters in organizing their time and reviewing their accounts efficiently. She has trained and mentored several Underwriting Assistants to become Underwriters.  Pamela strongly supports hiring from within and continues to train on a weekly basis to prepare the next generation of Underwriters at RPS.

Pamela is an avid blood donor and attends various events with broker partners including Insurance Days throughout California. She recently filmed two Atlas Insider episodes in collaboration with the Area Vice President for partners and insureds to provide more knowledge regarding the underwriting appetite and creative solutions offered.  

Pamela holds a bachelor’s degree in Humanities from the University of San Diego and the ARM (Associate in Risk Management) designation.
