As the vice president of group operations at Falvey Insurance Group [FIG], Jack Falvey promotes change and innovation while structuring risk vehicles in new ways. As the leader of FIG’s software development team, he steers the division to push out industry-leading technology and platforms. Falvey and his team ensure that all functions are working properly so that the company’s approximately $80 million in GWP can be properly underwritten with claims paid. Additionally, Falvey liaises with the 18 syndicates FIG works with at Lloyd’s, overseeing report generation and presentations to provide an in-depth view of how FIG and the markets in which it operates are faring.
One of Falvey’s most significant accomplishments has been the creation of a $175 million primary vessel pollution facility for the MGA Safe Harbor Pollution Insurance – the largest pollution facility in US history. Falvey led the negotiations, structuring, contract reviews and final sign-offs for the deal, which was a game-changing event for a market that had been dominated by one company for more than 40 years.
