An American diversified global insurer has appointed a president for its third party claims administrator.
David Dwortz takes on the role as president of Helmsman Management Services, a member of
Liberty Mutual Insurance. He succeeds Debbie Michel, who was recently appointed EVP of Insurance National Insurance Casualty,
Liberty Mutual.
Mike Fallon, president, National Insurance, commented on Dwortz’s appointment: “Dwortz’s background and skills make him the ideal candidate to lead Helmsman. He has been with Liberty Mutual for 16 years, working in senior leadership roles in finance, underwriting, distribution, and claims.
“Most recently, he led distribution for commercial insurance, where he managed our largest agent and broker relationships. He also ran Liberty Mutual’s complex claims unit, focused on mass tort litigation. Dwortz’s experience will support even more focused investment and growth for Helmsman.”
Prior to joining Liberty Mutual in 2000, Dwortz worked at Ernst and Young for 10 years.
