Marsh has added several coverage enhancements to ZMAX, the company’s commercial real estate insurance program.
ZMAX Plus now has more than 30 property, casualty, environmental, management liability, and cyber liability coverage forms thanks to the enhancements. The program, underwritten by Zurich North America, is a single-carrier comprehensive solution that helps cover any coverage gaps midsized commercial real estate firms may have, a release said.
All coverage lines are available with separate limits; this makes it so that claims in one line will not erode coverage in other lines, Marsh explained in a release.
According to Marsh global real estate practice leader Jeffrey Alpaugh, real estate companies today face a challenging market, marked by significant demographic shifts, technological disruptions, and surges in natural catastrophes. Those companies will need an innovative way to simplify their insurance programs while ensuring that they are protected against an increasingly complex range of risks.
“ZMAX Plus gives midsize real estate companies the protection they need through a comprehensive portfolio of insurance coverages as well as access to industry-leading risk engineering capabilities,” Alpaugh said.
“Our real estate customers tell us they need a risk-transfer solution that is broad enough to give them peace of mind, yet simple enough that they are not spending significant time and money to procure and manage,” added Zurich North America US commercial insurance head Paul Horgan. “ZMAX Plus addresses these needs and helps these firms compete with more confidence.”
