A network of independent insurance agencies, Renaissance Alliance Insurance Services, has announced its acquisition of the Peter M. Bakker Agency of Connecticut.
The new addition to the Renaissance network will establish a Connecticut base, which is expected to further grow its membership and strengthen its service capabilities to independent agencies in New England.
According to a Yahoo Finance report, the agencies made the alliance to leverage on each other’s strengths in delivering products and services to their clientele.

Renaissance Alliance president J. Bruce Cochrane noted that the network partnered with the Bakker Agency because of its sterling reputation, bench of seasoned professionals, strong leadership and balanced portfolio of personal and commercial clients.
For his part, Bakker Agency chairman and chief executive Peter M. Bakker said in the report: “I look forward to working with Bruce and his group to continue to offer to independent agencies market and operating solutions to insurer their viability and growth…”
Bakker Agency will continue to operate as an independent agency with Cochrane assuming chairmanship of the organization.
