Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has announced the appointment of Allen Kwan as head of customer and distribution management for North America, effective Jan. 1.
In his new role, Kwan will oversee the company’s customer and broker distribution strategy for the US and Canada. He will be based in New York and report to Katie McGrath, North America CEO for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
Kwan joined the company in 2012. Since August 2020, he has served as head of customer management for North America. In November 2021, he was named interim head of distribution management.
Kwan is a board member of both the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation and RIMS Golden Gate Chapter.
“Allen has demonstrated strong leadership over the past decade with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, and we are excited to welcome him into this expanded role,” McGrath said. “His strong track record in supporting global customers in their risk management and financing needs, coupled with his North American distribution expertise, will increase our ability to provide exceptional solutions for our customers and brokers.”
Kwan’s promotion is the latest appointment at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. In August, the company named Marilyn Blattner-Hoyle as global head of trade finance in its global credit and surety unit.
