Worldwide Facilities has appointed a new broker to join its NutraRisk division, to supplement its capabilities in the field of cannabis insurance.
The wholesale insurance broker and program underwriter has hired Norman Ives to join the division, which specializes not only in cannabis, but also nutraceuticals and dietary supplements.
Ives has over 20 years of insurance experience, particularly when it comes to the cannabis industry. He is also a published author and a speaker for the cannabis industry. A release noted that his “significant expertise” on cannabis positions him to offer innovative insurance solutions for the industry.
“Cannabis clients face unique business challenges because of the legal and regulatory landscape,” remarked Ives. “I offer a unique perspective on those challenges, and I look forward to partnering with our agents who serve cannabis clients to help protect those clients’ businesses and enable them to thrive.”
