Beazley has announced the appointment of Rachel Turk as group head of strategy. Turk (pictured) will join the company’s executive committee effective immediately. Previously, she held the role of head of corporate development.
Turk joined Beazley in 2009 as a D&O underwriter in specialty lines. She became focus group leader in 2015 and was appointed head of corporate development in 2019. Prior to joining Beazley, Turk held equity and finance analyst roles. She is a qualified chartered accountant. Turk sits on the board of the Lloyd’s Market Association.
“This is a very well-deserved promotion,” said Adrian Cox, CEO of Beazley. “Since 2019, Rachel has been working with the executive helping us to develop and refine our corporate strategy, as well as developing plans to ensure that we deliver on our corporate objectives. Over the past couple of years, Rachel has driven a number of key development activities, including identifying growth opportunities in existing markets via mergers and acquisitions.
“She has also been instrumental in the creation and success of our incubation underwriting team, which is at the forefront of exploring new products and services. Rachel’s promotion recognizes the huge contribution that she has made to the group, and puts her at the heart of defining our future strategy and direction.”
